Wolfowitz has resigned. It is official. His scheduled date of departure is June 30, 2007. The Board will begin discussing interim arrangements tomorrow morning.

The first order of business will be selection of an acting president. Most likely candidates are Graeme Wheeler, Managing Director, Vincenzo LaVia, Chief Financial Officer, or Lars Thunell head of IFC.

Board sources say Wolfowitz will begin his new role at Foundation for the Future on Monday. Apparently they are looking for a chief financial officer.

Obviously he will not be coming to the office. Word is he will be on administrative leave.

Plans for the dismissal of Robin Cleveland, Suzanne Rich Folsom, Juan Jose Daboub, Ana Palacio, and Karl Jackson are also being discussed.

What about the dismissal of Riza? How could the bank keep her on the payroll after all of this? How can she remain in this country after she has leeched that enormous salary at the expense of US taxpayers. Let the bank make a clean sweep of these slugs and the State Dept should do some real investigating of Riza and toss her out of the country

Most probably someone from IFC.

Resigned in June....I knew it.

All that show is to buy time, so that he can get his pension vested. And, a nice package too, I am sure!!

Going to Foundation for the Future? Geeeeeeees, all those tax dollar so these two greedy, shameless people can have a get-paid-a-lot-to-do-nothing job!

Yes, Riza shall go too!! Someone should look into how she got hired as well!
In fact, she should also be fired immediately, if nothing else, for working for SAIC while full-time employed by the Bank, a clear and serious violation of the Stuff Rule!

Riza is in a G-4 visa status. This status is inherently linked to her World Bank employment. This visa status prohibits compensation from employment outside of the World Bank. This situation is greater than a violation of the staff rules. This has to do with federal immigration law. Where does Bush stand on this illegal employment? This issue is not being discussed at the Bank.
